Songs for the Heart
I have started a project where I go and sing songs for elders. This project was my maternal grandmother's idea and began by chance when I had a casual job at a nursing home last year. This is a photo of me and my other Nana, when I went to sing at her respite day care a few weeks ago. In addition to singing, I ended up performing some Shakespeare at this visit, after telling the ladies stories about my travels to the U.S.A. The highlight of the day was when I performed "Once more unto the Breech" from Henry V and the ladies played the role of the soldiers I was rallying for battle.
